Prof. Dr. med. M. Maier and his shoulder team at the Swabian Joint Center bring back shoulder function. A happy patient recently sent Professor Dr. med. M. Maier the following feedback, which we would like to share at this point:
"Chronic shoulder pain after fall
In January 2020 I had a fall and tore three tendons in my shoulder. The doctor treating me at that time only took x-rays and diagnosed bruises, which he treated with cortisone injections. The pain got worse and worse during this time and even spread to the other shoulder, was unbearable.
On recommendation of an acquaintance of my children I came to Prof. Maier.
After an MRI was arranged, he made the exact diagnosis and after a detailed discussion, an arthroscopic operation with suture of the tendons was arranged. He promised full fitness for sports after about 6 months.
On 22.6.2020 the surgery was successfully performed. Professor Maier is an extraordinary doctor and has a very nice team, who took good care of me during the operation and afterwards.
Prof. Maier has worked out a physiotherapy plan for the follow-up treatment. At the moment I am in phase 1 - week 1 to 6 after surgery. Everything is going very well and I am making great progress in my mobility and I am happy to say that it is even better than the plan. I have not had any pain since the operation.
I have decided to have the follow-up treatment carried out by the physiotherapy department located in the Atos building, despite the long journey of 50 km. This guarantees a treatment from one source and enables a constant dialogue with Professor Maier.
I will recommend the clinic, Professor Maier and his team without reservation."
